Sydney Sweeney Is Launching A Lingerie Line Backed By Jeff Bezos https://www.maxim.com/entertainment/sydney-sweeney-is-launching-a-lingerie-line-with-jeff-bezos/ Wed, 16 Jul 2025 10:30:00 +0000 https://www.maxim.com/?p=265910

Sydney Sweeney’s forthcoming business venture is reportedly backed by one of the richest men on Earth. The 27-year-old Emmy nominee is reportedly launching a lingerie line “very soon” with the financial support of Jeff Bezos and his new wife, Lauren Sanchez, whose marriage was attended by Sweeney, per Us Weekly. According to Forbes‘ real-time billionaire list, the Amazon founder currently boasts a net worth of just under $240 billion, putting him fourth behind Mark Zuckerberg ($248.2 billion), Larry Ellison ($277.5 billion) and Elon Musk ($409.9 billion).

Following her breakout role as Cassie on Euphoria, Sweeney has continues to expand her acting career, most recently in the films Anyone But You and Immaculate. Arguably her most significant casting yet is as pioneering female pro boxer Christy Martin, a part for which she reportedly gained 30 pounds. But Sweeney also boasts a supercharged business portfolio that includes ambassadorships with HeyDude footwear, Bai beverages, Laneige skincare and Kérastase haircare, as well as product collabs with Frankies Bikinis, Ford, Dr. Squatch (which offers Sweeney bathwater-infused soap) and Baskin Robbins.

She previously provided insight into the source of her unrelenting drive in an interview with Glamour last year. “I knew that I could never actually fail because, I mean, on a very broad scale, my family did lose everything. They did get a divorce. Whether or not that was because of coming [to Los Angeles], it definitely was a catalyst for it. So I knew I had to succeed in some capacity so that it wasn’t for nothing.”

“It’s a weird feeling when people are like, ‘Oh, you’re successful,’ or say, ‘You’ve made it,’” she mused added. “It doesn’t feel like that because there’s so much more I want to accomplish and achieve. I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of what I’d like to do in my life.”

Aside from her Bezos-backed lingerie business, another would-be milestone moment for Sweeney is churning in the tabloid rumor mill: The Sun and Cosmopolitan have suggested that she may have been tapped by director Denis Villeneuve (Dune) to appear in Bond 26. Considering the height of Sweeney’s star, the fact that she attended Bezos and Sanchez’s wedding, and Amazon MGM Studios’ acquisition of the James Bond property’s creative control from longtime producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, the pieces would seem to be in place for Sweeney to appear alongside 007’s yet-named successor.

‘007 First Light’: James Bond Origin Story Revealed In Game Trailer From IO Interactive https://www.maxim.com/entertainment/007-first-light-james-bond-origin-story-revealed-in-game-trailer-from-io-interactive/ Thu, 05 Jun 2025 13:35:22 +0000 https://www.maxim.com/?p=261789 James Bond is finally finding his way back to the world of video games. The studio behind the Hitman franchise just revealed their take on 007 in a new action/adventure game that tells the story of a rebellious Bond’s ascent from Royal Navy crewman to the ranks of MI6’s elite 00 agents in the official trailer for 007 First Light. IO Interactive’s knack for giving gamers choice, whether that be playing with stealth, brute force or anywhere in between, is an ideal fit for the versatile skills of the British superspy. That gameplay will be further spotlighted in a second trailer that’s reportedly coming later this summer. 007 First Light will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC in 2026. Watch the trailer below.

The 5 Best Bond Girls Of All Time, Ranked https://www.maxim.com/entertainment/the-5-best-bond-girls-of-all-time-ranked/ Wed, 23 Apr 2025 10:15:00 +0000 https://www.maxim.com/?p=257357 Following the James Bond franchise’s shakeup in the form of Amazon MGM Studios’ acquisition of the property’s creative control from longtime producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, the future of 007 is uncertain. That said, Bond 26—the codename of the 26th installment in the superspy’s decades-spanning saga—is underway, with new producers David Heyman (Harry Potter, Paddington) and Amy Pascal (Barbie, Spider-Man) at the helm.

Addressing a crowd at CinemaCon 2025, Amazon MGM’s head of film Courtenay Valenti recently confirmed that work on the latest Bond movie had already begun, saying, “We are committed to honoring the legacy of this iconic character, while bringing a fresh, exotic new chapter to audiences around the world alongside Amy and David,” per Yahoo. “They are both in London getting started and couldn’t be here tonight, but we wanted to thank them for what we know will be an incredible partnership.” News of the successor to Daniel Craig‘s Bond may still be forthcoming, but there’s no need to wait for a retrospective on the most impressive Bond Girls that the amorous agent has encountered, from racy rendezvous to ferocious firefights. Here are five all-time Bond girl favorites.

5. Vesper Lynd

Portrayed By Eva Green In Casino Royale

(Stephane Cardinale – Corbis/Corbis via Getty Images)

Possibly more intoxicating than the martini variation that 007 dubbed in her honor, Vesper Lynd walked into the superspy’s stark world of espionage and dealt him a hand far more complicated than any poker game. More than just a fleeting conquest, Vesper was a sharp mind, a formidable equal who saw through the tailored suits and steely gaze. She possessed a vulnerability that belied her sharp edges, as well as a secretive depth that ultimately led to her demise and left an indelible mark that permanently changed Bond’s emotional makeup for better or worse.

4. Pussy Galore

Portrayed By Honor Blackman In Goldfinger

(Silver Screen Collection/Getty Images)

Leading her all-female flying circus, Pussy Galore was no damsel in distress waiting for Bond’s rescue—a rare example of a strong female lead in 1960s cinema. She was sharp, independent, and ran her own show. She eventually succumbed to Bond’s “charm”—or what passed for charm in the day—but went on to engage the serial womanizer in a test of wills that crackled with undeniable chemistry. Much more than a conquest, she was a formidable adversary turned reluctant ally.

3. Paloma

Portrayed By Ana De Armas In No Time To Die

(MGM)

Bursting onto the scene in a flurry of high-octane energy and firepower—all while wearing a knockout dress—Paloma was a fully modern female associate in Bond’s typically measured world. This wasn’t a woman weighed down by secrets or shadowed by tragedy; Paloma was effervescent, a whirlwind of charm and lethal capability. She was the enthusiastic rookie who could more than handle herself in a firefight or disarm foes with a smile.

2. Honey Ryder

Portrayed By Ursula Andress In Dr. No

(Sunset Boulevard/Corbis via Getty Images)

The OG Bond Girl etched herself into cinematic history as she emerged from the turquoise Jamaican shallows while sporting a white bikini in the 007 franchise’s very first installment. The sultry shell diver initially appeared vulnerable but proved to be extremely resourceful in assisting Bond on his mission. A beautiful blend of sensuality and self-reliance cemented her status as a foundational figure in the Bond universe, serving as a prototype for subsequent portrayals of women alongside the famed spy.

1. Jinx

Portrayed By Halle Berry In Die Another Day

(Kevin Winter/ImageDirect via Getty Images)

Somehow, Jinx managed to outdo Ryder’s bikini-clad entrance 40 years later to create the most iconic Bond Girl scene in the history of the 25-film franchise. Introduced as an American NSA agent operating undercover, Jinx stole scenes with a striking presence and assertive nature, marking a departure from her predecessors’ demeanors. While sharing a romantic connection with Bond, Jinx maintained her own agency and played a pivotal role in thwarting the villain’s plot. Her confidence and proactive involvement solidified her as a contemporary and formidable ally for 007.

James Bond Franchise Gets Shaken And Stirred With Amazon Takeover https://www.maxim.com/entertainment/the-james-bond-franchise-gets-shaken-and-stirred-with-amazon-takeover/ Mon, 24 Feb 2025 11:02:00 +0000 https://www.maxim.com/?p=252263 Daniel Craig James Bond Promo
Daniel Craig takes aim as 007 (Sony Pictures)

The James Bond franchise is getting a major reboot. Amazon MGM Studios and longtime 007 producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli recently announced the formation of a new joint venture to control the iconic spy movie brand’s intellectual property rights.

Amazon MGM Studios will take creative control of the Bond franchise, while Wilson and Broccoli are set to remain as co-owners of the 60-year-old property. In 2022, Amazon bought MGM, including a sprawling catalog of more than 4,000 films and 17,000 TV shows. Since the MGM acquisition, Amazon has had rights to distribute all Bond films, and following completion of the joint venture, will control the creative direction of future productions, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“We are grateful to the late Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman for bringing James Bond to movie theaters around the world, and to Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for their unyielding dedication and their role in continuing the legacy of the franchise that is cherished by legions of fans worldwide. We are honored to continue this treasured heritage, and look forward to ushering in the next phase of the legendary 007 for audiences around the world,” Mike Hopkins, head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, said in a statement last week.

Wilson added he was stepping back from producing Bond movies to focus on art and charitable projects. “Therefore, Barbara and I agree, it is time for our trusted partner, Amazon MGM Studios, to lead James Bond into the future,” Wilson said in his own statement.

News of the joint venture comes amid continuing speculation about the 26th Bond film and who will taker over as 007, after Daniel Craig exited the role following 2021’s No Time to Die. Barbara Broccoli, 64, whose family has been in charge of Bond since 1962’s Dr. No, also issued a statement saying it was time for her to allow Amazon MGM Studios to take over the creative reins.

Daniel Craig in Skyfall. (Courtesy of James Bond Indicia © 1962-2022 Danjaq and MGM)

“My life has been dedicated to maintaining and building upon the extraordinary legacy that was handed to Michael and me by our father, producer Cubby Broccoli. I have had the honor of working closely with four of the tremendously talented actors who have played 007 and thousands of wonderful artists within the industry. With the conclusion of No Time to Die and Michael retiring from the films, I feel it is time to focus on my other projects,” Broccoli said.

Craig issued a statement wishing the producers well in the wake of Amazon’s takeover. “My respect, admiration and love for Barbara and Michael remain constant and undiminished,” 56-year-old Craig, who played 007 in five films, told Variety. “I wish Michael a long, relaxing (and well-deserved) retirement, and whatever ventures Barbara goes on to do, I know they will be spectacular and I hope I can be part of them.”

Ana de Armas

But not everyone is excited about 007 getting the Amazon treatment. New York Post critic Johnny Oleksinki predicted that Amazon would bumble the Bond franchise the same way it diminished The Lord of the Rings with the streamer’s big-budget, poorly-received LOTR series.

Most telling of all is what Amazon has already done to “The Lord of the Rings.” In 2018, the company paid $250 million to snag the TV rights from the Tolkien Estate. That didn’t mean they could make shows off “The Hobbit” or the books that inspired Peter Jackson’s Oscar-winning film trilogy, but rather “The Appendices” — bone dry histories of Middle Earth.

Even so, the Sauron-like company committed a reported $1 billion to a five-season series (the most expensive TV show ever made) in hopes of giving Prime Video its own “Game of Thrones.” The difference between HBO’s fantasy epic and “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power”? People actually talked about “Game of Thrones.” Amazon’s show barely registers, wins no major awards and is a cheap-looking snooze with a declining viewership.

2021’s No Time To Die, Craig’s final outing as the MI6 agent with a license to kill, raked in $774 million at the global box office. No plans or casting have been announced for the 26th 007 film, but when Amazon boss Jeff Bezos asked “Who’d you pick as the next Bond?” to his 6.8 million followers on X, among the most popular replies were Henry Cavill, Tom Hardy, Idris Elba and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, according to the BBC.

Omega Launches More Affordable Version Of James Bond’s Favorite Seamaster https://www.maxim.com/style/omega-launches-more-affordable-version-of-james-bonds-favorite-seamaster/ Mon, 02 Dec 2024 13:05:01 +0000 https://www.maxim.com/?p=246753
(Omega)

The covetable style of the world’s most famous secret agent isn’t often easy to replicate, but that hasn’t stopped watch enthusiasts from trying, particularly when it comes to James Bond’s watch in No Time To Die. That mission just got slightly more affordable, as 007’s preferred watchmaker launched a newly retooled version of the Omega Seamaster.

In fact, not one but two new takes on the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M just hit the market, one in a stainless steel-on-steel build ($6,500), and one with a stainless steel case and sporty rubber strap ($5,900), each with two dial variations apiece.

The new duo should prove more agreeable to price-conscious James Bond fanatics who don’t want to shell out $10K for the Seamaster Diver 007 Edition, for instance, but a closer look under the hood reveals similar attention to detail.

(Omega)

It’s not the first time a new twist on the Omega Seamaster has been spotted in the wild: InsideHook reports that Daniel Craig himself wore a variation to this year’s Paris Olympics. A number of changes to the specs of the Seamaster resulted in a lighter, more affordable watch that still delivers loads of globetrotting, MI6-approved style.

Watch enthusiasts, ever quick on the draw, were also fast to spot the famed British actor wearing an as-yet-unreleased Speedmaster last fall (it’s since hit the market). But it’s the Speedmaster that’s been worn so famously in recent years on the big screen, and it’s proven a rather pricey purchase at times.

(Omega)

Each new build comes with your choice of a black bezel or grey bezel, and the sporty rubber strap version comes with a matching strap to team with your resulting dial color of choice. The difference is in the details, as a steel case itself is a more cost-effective, easier material to work with than titanium.

InsideHook also notes that changes to the bezel inserts (for example, either aluminum or laser-abated titanium) still offer plenty of durability, akin to that of the more expensive 007 Edition Seamaster.

(Omega)

There are also features that offer a more refined change of pace than certain renditions of the 007 Edition Seamaster, in this instance a sleek mesh bracelet for a touch of dressy appeal. Omega also notes that each variation of the Seamaster Diver 300M features its Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806, not unlike pricier editions sported by Bond, James Bond.

(Omega)

A sapphire crystal caseback showcases Omega’s in-house movement, and the watch also boasts an impressive 55-hour power reserve. It falls in line with a number of updates, special editions and subtle tweaks to the Diver 300M line over the years, as the Swiss watchmaker notes its “most advanced innovation and design” have kept the style fresh across three decades.

Assuredly, that sentiment also very much includes this slew of covetable, more affordable editions of a modern classic. For 007 fans on a budget, a fine and fashionable wrist game upgrade might be closer at hand than ever before.

Rolls-Royce’s ‘Goldfinger’ Phantom Is Fit For A Bond Villain https://www.maxim.com/rides/rolls-royces-phantom-goldfinger-special-edition-is-fit-for-a-supervillain/ Tue, 29 Oct 2024 09:37:00 +0000 https://www.maxim.com/?p=244383
(Rolls-Royce)

In addition to being one of the most elaborate creations ever to roll out of the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective—a group of craftspeople and engineers responsible for bringing highly personalized client requests to fruition—the one-of-one “Goldfinger” Phantom is a rolling treasure trove of James Bond references and discoverable Easter eggs that are sure to tickle 007 superfans.

The first nod to Goldfinger, the beloved Bond movie celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2024, is seen from afar. Paint specialists precisely matched the exterior yellow hue to the original 1937 Phantom III Sedanca de Ville that supervillain bullion dealer Auric Goldfinger uses to smuggle his precious metal out the UK. Like the antique movie car, it wears a “long-side” two-tone design featuring black finish, except on the new Phantom it wraps around the coachwork as a single, uninterrupted graphic. The 21-inch disc wheels are finished in Black with silver “floating” hubcaps, while the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament is rendered in a mixed-metal finish that references both the movie’s title sequence and plot. Since it’s impossible to silver-plate gold, Rolls-Royce specialists partially gold-plated a solid silver Spirit of Ecstasy figurine to achieve what’s been a dubbed a “gold reveal” effect.

(Rolls-Royce)

That’s merely the start of the many golden Bond-approved details. The center console hides a “vault” containing a solid 18-carat gold Phantom model. Gold finishes adorn the air vents, speaker frets, treadplates, front and rear center consoles’ bases, and the inside of the glovebox, the inner lid of which features the antagonist’s quote, “This is Gold, Mr. Bond. All my life, I have been in love with its color, its brilliance, its divine heaviness.” The 24-carat gold-plated VIN plaque is engraved with a specially obtained vehicle identification number ending in 007.

(Rolls-Royce)

This wouldn’t be a proper automotive tribute to Goldfinger without an homage to the famed chase scene set in Switzerland’s switchback-laden Furka Pass, and this special-edition Phantom features two. A 3D design running the full width of the front dashboard shows a precise map of the legendary roads’ contours—according to Rolls-Royce, “the stainless steel used to construct the piece was darkened using a method named physical vapor deposition. Contour lines and elevation figures are engraved into the dark substrate, exposing the bright metal beneath. The Furka Pass is cut out from the stainless-steel layer, revealing a gilded surface underneath.” Meanwhile, the central clock in the middle of the dash’s design harks to the franchise’s famous introductory “gun-barrel” sequence. The Furka Pass scene is more subtly referenced a second time by the golden Starlight Headliner, which recreates the constellations as they were positioned over the location on July 11, 1964, the last day of filming the scene in Switzerland.

(Rolls-Royce)

The Goldfinger Easter eggs continue with the Royal Walnut picnic tables, which feature a 22-carat gold inlay of a fictional map of Fort Knox, and the trunk. Because Goldfinger first faced Bond with a golden putter in game of golf, Rolls-Royce recreated the blingy club and mounted it in the underside of the trunk lid. Additionally, a projection of the “007” logo is emitted onto the carpet of the luggage compartment whenever the lid is opened.

(Rolls-Royce)

“Witnessing how our Bespoke Collective seized upon the idea of celebrating 60 years of the film has been truly remarkable; this fantastic story has been masterfully explored in Phantom Goldfinger’s exquisite design,” said Boris Weletzky, Regional Director, United Kingdom, Europe and Central Asia, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. “The creativity extended far beyond the making of the motor car, as we curated extraordinary experiences for the client and their family, all while staying true to the spirit of the Goldfinger theme. It is this exceptional ability to engage our clients and create lasting impressions that defines us as a true House of Luxury.”

How The Vesper Made Me Fall In Love With Martinis https://www.maxim.com/food-drink/how-the-vesper-made-me-fall-in-love-with-martinis/ Fri, 25 Oct 2024 09:44:00 +0000 https://www.maxim.com/?p=243378
(Quadrille)

There is something particularly delightful about hearing the words: “Shall we have a Martini?” As soon as they’re uttered, the ante is upped. There is a little charge of excitement. You and the asker are now in cahoots – and that’s before you’ve even taken a sip…The first Martini I ever had was a Vesper at The Dorchester hotel in London.

I was in my early twenties and had just landed a job as a reporter on a drinks magazine, despite the fact that I knew absolutely nothing about drinks. As luck would have it, I ran into Robbie Bargh, a rather fabulous hospitality consultant who spent his days designing cocktail bars for some of the world’s top hotels. Bargh was appalled by my mixological ignorance, so he whisked me off to the Dorchester (at some wholly inappropriate time like 3 p.m. on a Monday afternoon, I recall), sat me down on a plush banquette and ordered me a Vesper.

I can still see that icy chalice now, sitting on its embossed coaster: the star-bright liquid, marbled with lemon oils, rising silkily to the rim; the Y-shaped glass, once frosted, gradually beading with condensation. Robbie told me the recipe had been invented by James Bond author Ian Fleming. I took a sip, and then sat there, rapt, as its cold fire hit my solar plexus.

In the two decades since, my hunt for a good Martini has taken me all over the world: from the high-rise bars of Tokyo, to some of Brooklyn’s crummiest dives; from the rain-lashed moors of Northumbria, to St James’s fanciest hotels. I’ve had Martinis in Delhi, Barcelona, Paris and Milan; and one very memorable Lychee Martini in a speakeasy hidden out the back of a Panamanian hair salon.

Surrounded by the world’s best mixologists, I’ve sipped in memoriam Martinis by the grave of Savoy bartender Harry Craddock. We travelled there in a cavalcade of vintage cars and drank our toast from iced Thermoses. I’ve clocked up thousands of miles in the name of vermouth and gin. And the reason I’ve done this is because the Martini is so much more than just a drink.

It’s a platonic ideal, a totem – a sort of boozy cultural prism. A drink bound by recondite rules, and steeped in lore and superstition. Its minutiae have had some of the world’s greatest minds dancing on a pin – Ernest Hemingway, J. Robert Oppenheimer, Ian Fleming, Winston Churchill, Dorothy Parker, Homer Simpson.

It’s the sum-total of all that’s exquisite, yet it’s also a kind of perfection that’s well within one’s grasp. You’re just as likely to discover your dream Martini at your kitchen table as you are in a world-class bar. Because the way you take your Martini is as particular as the way you take your tea. Is there any other cocktail that requires the bartender to first ask you how you like it?

If you never mixed a Martini yourself you’d only know the half of it. Because all the little rituals involved in its preparationare a big part of its magic: choosing the gin, cracking the ice, cutting the scented twist. It’s an antidote to a world of infernal distractions; a chance to be fully present. The one thing nicer than mixing yourself a Martini is mixing one for somebody else.

Getting it just how they like it – even if you don’t really approve – is the ultimate act of kindness.

THE VESPER MARTINI

(The Martini: The Ultimate Guide to a Cocktail Icon/Photo: Vesper Martini by Laura Edwards)

Ingredients:

1 ½ oz gin

½ oz vodka

and either

¼ oz Lillet Blanc

3 drops Angostura Bitters

OR

¼ oz Cocchi Americano

Glass: cocktail glass

Garnish: lemon twist

Instructions: Fill a shaker two-thirds with ice. Add the ingredients. Shake briskly for ten seconds. Fit a Hawthorn strainer over the mouth of the shaker and pour into cocktail glass. Garnish with lemon twist.

The Vesper Martini was first described by James Bond in Ian Fleming’s novel Casino Royale (1953). He instructs the casino bartender as follows: “In a deep champagne goblet […] Three measures of Gordon’s, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it’s ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon-peel. Got it?”

The Vesper has a macho reputation, but it is actually slightly sweet. The fact it’s shaken rather than stirred also helps to soften it a bit. The French aperitif Kina Lillet was discontinued in 1986—but you can approximate it pretty well with Lillet Blanc and a drop of Angostura Bitters (or use Cocchi Americano, a golden aperitif rom Italy, which is bittered with gentian and quinine).

Bond would have probably poo-pooed modern-day Gordon’s, which is bottled at a rather wimpy 37.5% ABV (in the UK at least). I reckon he’d go for something with a bit more torque to it, like classic Tanqueray.

Drams of scotch, flutes of champagne, and, of course, shaken-not-stirred martinis are all waiting to quench the thirsts of 007 disciples at what’s been dubbed the “world’s first James Bond bar” celebrating the 60th anniversary of Goldfinger.

Now until December 31, the prestigious Burlington Arcade on Piccadilly in London’s West End will host The 007, a two-floor pop-up bar opened in partnership with Belvedere, Blackwell Rum, Champagne Bollinger and Macallan—all being libations brands that have previously partnered with the James Bond franchise.

In addition to three gold Aston Martin DB5 sculptures hung from the site’s historic ceilings, a vast collection of James Bond memorabilia will be on-display, including Goldfinger props like Oddjob’s hat, a Fort Knox gold bar, Goldfinger’s golf shoes and the never-before-exhibited spyhole clock from the villain’s private plane. Omega, Bond’s preferred watchmaker, has also brought over the only two gold 007 timepieces—the Seamaster Diver 300M Commander’s Watch (2017) and the Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond Limited Edition (2019), which commemorated the 50th anniversary of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

Patrons will also have the opportunity to purchase several collectable from a 007 boutique, including a James Bond 2024 luxury advent calendar, limited edition framed prints, and The Macallan’s highly collectible 60th Anniversary Decades whisky sets. An official statement also teases that Fabergé’s Octopussy capsule collection, including the handcrafted limited edition Egg Objet, will be available to view “and perhaps purchase.”

Of course, you could always kick back and sip a Vesper martini. The 007 is open now through December 31.

“Elegantly showcasing 007’s worldwide production reach, from Jamaica, used in many films including the first film, Dr. No (1962) to Thailand, used in The Man With The Golden Gun (1974), which is celebrating 50 years since release; to pivotal moments in Japan, Istanbul, and even the wilds of Iceland, each newly created experience is closely tied to the films’ rich history,” said Black Tomato in a statement announcing the new excursions.

Travelers can now also piece together an itinerary following an entire film. For example, locations in Mexico City, London, Italy, Austria and Morocco were all used in 2015’s Spectre. And the collaboration’s latest iteration additionally features automotive-focused experiences in Scotland, Iceland, Norway, which are further detailed below.

Evoking 007’s thrilling escape from billionaire Gustav Graves’ ice palace in Die Another Day, guests zipline over jagged blue glaciers and climb the soaring frozen walls of Svinafellsjökull, aka the largest ice cap in Europe. Guests then slalom between floating icebergs on Jökulsárlón lagoon, reminiscent of those seen in the opening shot of A View To A Kill , to sip Bollinger bubbly and refuel with a three-course gourmet picnic.

Tom Marchant, cofounder of Black Tomato, explained that an uptick in luxury adventure travel demand inspired the brand to expand its Bond-focused offerings. “With the global set-jetting trend at its peak and acting on this growing desire for Bond trips beyond Europe, now feels apt to expand our library of extraordinary 007 inspired journeys,” he said. “We receive inquiries every week from travelers seeking to plan a trip specifically inspired by locations they’ve seen on screen.”

For all trips, clients will receive original call sheets, and bespoke documents including exclusive insight into the locations provided by the film franchise’s producers. All trips will also include a free, exclusively commissioned Dr. No-inspired attaché case by Globe-Trotter, the official luggage maker for the 007 brand.
