Hublot has officially expanded its Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon 5-Day Power Reserve collection with the release of four new ceramic color options: red, black, yellow, and sky blue. The debut marks a significant extension of the line, which had previously only been available in white ceramic or carbon. The move, according to the luxury watchmaker, demonstrates its determination to reach all Spirit of Big Bang enthusiasts.

Born in 2014, the Spirit of Big Bang collection is known for its tonneau profile, structured design, and airy aesthetic. The new 42 mm models embody this spirit, carrying over signature design codes such as a skeleton movement, a bezel with six screws, a crown with a rubber grip, and a multi-layer case construction. Each of the four ceramic color editions is highly limited, with only 20 pieces available per model.

Collectors can choose from the new quartet of bright colors, each housing the HUB6020 manual movement. Specifically developed for the tonneau-shaped case, the movement features a tourbillon visible at 6 o’clock, a complication that enhances precision by compensating for the earth’s gravity. The caliber also boasts an off-center hour and minute dial at 3 o’clock and a power reserve indicator at 8 o’clock. The power reserve is extended to five days, one of the longest autonomies for this type of complication. The 100% Manufacture caliber is notable for its extreme skeletonization, a technical feat that hollowing out components to the very limits of their strength.

To celebrate the launch of these four colored ceramic models — which are joined by a fifth model in black sapphire, also limited to 20 pieces and priced at $161,000 — Hublot is unveiling a first-ever customization experience. New owners of one of the four limited-series ceramic models will receive their timepiece accompanied by two straps, one rubber and one velcro.

They will also receive a third bracelet and an additional bezel, chosen from an exclusive range of some 20 possible variants in different colors and materials, including carbon, ceramic, and optional stone-setting. Combined with the One Click interchangeable bracelet system, these options offer a high degree of personalization.

Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot, noted the special place the Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon holds with collectors. “The tonneau format is rarely a first acquisition. It requires a certain amount of watchmaking experience, which we are taking a step further today with these colored ceramic variants,” Tornare said.

Each of the four ceramic Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon 5-Day Power Reserve models—Red Magic, Black Magic, Yellow Magic, and Sky Blue Ceramic—is priced at $104,000 each.

Three-time Super Bowl champ Patrick Mahomes has inked another deal, this time with luxury watchmaker Hublot. The superstar quarterback joins the elite likes of track’s Usain Bolt and tennis’s Novak Djokovic as a Hublot brand ambassador ahead of his Kansas City Chiefs’ September 5 season kickoff against the Los Angeles Chargers.

“Partnering with Hublot is an honor—it’s a brand that understands the value of timeliness, precision, and also performance. I’m proud to be a part of a legacy that was built on mastering time with style,” Mahomes said in a statement.

In an accompanying video announcing the partnership, Mahomes elaborated on the moment he knew he wanted to rock Hublot watches in an official capacity. “The moment was meeting the people behind the brand and seeing how creative they are and how they want to continue to push forward to be even better. And I think that’s something that really stuck with me.”

Eagle-eyed watch fans might identify Mahomes’ choice in wristwatch as the Big Bang Unico Titanium Ceramic. With a ceramic dial and a case crafted from grade 5 titanium—the superlatively strong form of the alloy—the watch strikes a balance between lightness and durability, though the prospect of wearing a 44mm metal watch that retails for nearly $30,000 on the gridiron seems dubious.

The watch was likely selected, perhaps with some encouragement from execs, because the Big Bang line is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Launched in 2005, Hublot’s longstanding flagship collection followed the 1980s-era Classic Original, which was the first true luxury watch to combine a precious metal (gold) with a modern material (rubber). In the Big Bang’s debut year, an example crafted from ceramic and titanium—the same materials used in the watch seen here—won that year’s coveted Design Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève.

Mahomes’ list of brand sponsors and ambassadorships is longer than his deepest pass—Oakley, Bose, Airbnb, Adidas, Draftkings Walmart and State Farm are just a few. But among them all, Hublot is definitely the most luxurious.

Luxury watchmaker Hublot launched its new “Big Bang Unico Summer 2025” timepiece that aims to set a vibrant and sun-kissed tone for summer watch season. Hublot Ambassador and Olympic sprint legend Usain Bolt and brand partner Mattia Vitale, a member of the acclaimed DJ trio Meduza, recently hosted the colorful watch’s launch event in Mykonos, Greece. The “Big Bang Unico Summer 2025” is clearly designed to embody the essence of summer, featuring a striking color palette of sunny orange and Mediterranean blue. The Big Bang series watch’s micro-blasted orange ceramic case evokes the golden hour, while its sky-blue bezel mirrors the expanse of the sea.

Crafted from Hublot’s high-tech ceramic, the timepiece boasts a lightweight yet highly resistant construction, making it suitable for a range of summer activities. Its 100-meter water resistance ensures durability for both poolside lounging and deeper aquatic adventures. The watch also features Hublot’s patented One-Click strap system, allowing for effortless changes between three interchangeable straps in sky blue, dark blue, and orange, all with white-lined rubber.

Unveiled as the latest addition to Hublot’s Big Bang family in 2022, the luxury watchmaker’s Square Bang collection already featured a distinctive square case, a departure from the round Big Bang and the tonneau-shaped Spirit of Big Bang. Now, Hublot is going even further with the introduction of its first square timepiece housing a tourbillon and showcasing a fully integrated square movement design.

The Square Bang Tourbillon, with its bold 42mm square case, marks several significant firsts for the collection. It’s the first Square Bang to feature two central hands, the first to boast a 3D carbon case, the first Square Bang model to be regulated by a tourbillon and the first to incorporate exclusively square bridges within its movement.

To achieve this groundbreaking design, Hublot leveraged the expertise of its in-house Manufacture, developing the MHUB6023 manual movement specifically for this timepiece. This new caliber comprises 174 components, all meticulously arranged with square or rectangular bridges. Each surface is adorned with a subtle interplay of matte and satin finishes, accentuating the varying depths of the bridges.

Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot, emphasized the innovative approach in a statement announcing the watch. “Until now, advances in square watches have been rather timid, usually confined to the case alone,” he said. “With the Square Bang Tourbillon 4-Day Power Reserve, we wanted to take the exercise to its logical conclusion, by designing a movement whose architecture is also fully right-angled.” Tonare also highlighted the “straight, clean and sharp” design of the bridges, seemingly protecting the perpetually rotating tourbillon, barrel, and power reserve indicator.

Reinforcing the square aesthetic, the timepiece’s main functional elements are strategically positioned on the four sides of the case: the winding mechanism on the right, the power reserve indicator on the left, the mainspring barrel at the top, and the tourbillon at the bottom. The skeletonized movement allows for complete visibility, showcasing the intricate mechanics and sharp angles.

To commemorate the tourbillon to the Square Bang family, Hublot has crafted a bespoke 42mm case entirely from 3D carbon. This unique finish is achieved through a carbon composite woven in both vertical and horizontal lines, maintaining the square motif. This design continuity extends to the rubber strap, which features a textured square pattern. Priced at $100,500, the Square Bang Tourbillon also offers a four-day power reserve, with an indicator positioned at nine o’clock displaying the remaining days and hours.

Hublot’s Big Bang series is making another splashy debut with a unique, multi-colored ceramic Big Bang timepiece dubbed the “Magic Ceramic.” The Swiss watchmaker—which has been developing and producing colored ceramics for more than a decade—says it has achieved a singular accomplishment with its latest Big Bang limited to just 20 examples.

“Each pigment used for color must go through different temperatures during the baking and moulding processes of the ceramic components. The challenge therefore lies in finding the perfect balance to obtain a homogeneous and flawless result—time and time again,” the brand trumpeted in a statement announcing the “world’s first multicolor ceramic watch.”

The Big Bang Unico Magic Ceramic’s bezel, constructed in dark grey ceramic, features eye-catching blue circles arranged in a seemingly random pattern. Within the ceramic stunner beats the UNICO automatic flyback chronograph movement that’s “conceived, developed and manufactured” entirely by Hublot’s watch specialists. It’s finished in a grey tone matching the multi-colored ceramic watch’s dominant hue and comes with a black rubber strap.

Hublot’s Director of R&D Mathias Buttet added, “I feel an immense pride in seeing our team bring to life a material that perfectly embodies Hublot’s soul: a subtle blend of science, alchemy, and playful boldness. After more than four years of research, we have mastered the art of combining vivid, patented colors—a true technical feat. Thanks to the creativity and talent of our young engineers taking the lead, Hublot’s scientific approach and innovating spirit will continue to astonish.”

The Big Bang Unico Magic Ceramic is limited to 20 watches at $33,000 each.

Hublot just debuted a new Year of the Snake Big Bang, and it’s far from the only eye-catching release to debut this month. A new trio joins the Spirit of Big Bang collection, along with a vivid green Big Bang Tourbillon, but it appears the Big Bang MECA-10 is the timepiece the Swiss watchmaker places front and center, at least this week.

As the company says, the Big Bang MECA-10 “stunned the world of watchmaking” upon its 2016 debut, with a twist on the conventional watch dial (it has none to speak of). The launch also served as a “masterclass in micromechanical engineering,” and its second iteration hopes to live up to that same impressive billing.

More precisely (quite literally, in the case of the watch complication), the Big Bang MECA-10 puts its manual-winding skeleton movement on visible display, all in a more compact 42mm case that hues closely to Hublot’s original design aesthetic. The more compact size presented a distinct challenge to its designers, and the watch is an intricate work of art (and wrist candy) in its own right.

A stunning 10-day power reserve is plenty innovative, and the MECA-10 indicates the remaining reserve using two mainspring barrels driven by a linear-gear-meets-circular-gear rack system, all positioned in a straight line. It speaks to barrel-driven complications from the likes of Urwerk, but with a distinct Hublot sensibility.

With the rebooted MECA-10 watch (available in King Gold, Titanium or Carbon Black and starting at $23,000), the watchmaker says it has “reinvented creativity in a modern interpretation of the mechanical watch movement,” a lofty statement and perhaps a challenge for its future watchmakers. The new Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Green also pushes the boundaries of Hublot watchmaking, using sapphire-esque SAXEM in an emerald green case.

Just 18 units are available of the “vibrant and crystalline green” timepiece in a groundbreaking material, while the Spirit of Big Bang trio is a touch more recognizable, at least in fabrication if not color scheme. The same sport-meets-luxury appeal certainly appeals to the latest iteration of a favorite among watch enthusiasts.

The chronograph build of the Spirit of Big Bang plays off the iconic silhouette, but a trio of “new tones for a familiar form,” shake up the offering (the new shades were previously only found in the Big Bang main line of watches). With plenty of departures from the expected, in ways large and small, suffice to say that Hublot’s LVMH Watch Week offering offers up more than one grail-worthy watch.

Your eyes aren’t deceiving you: Hublot did indeed team up with Nespresso to turn your morning cup of coffee into a fine timepiece.

Used coffee grounds from its capsules are translated into the handsome strap (one made from rubber and one option made from Velcro), while aluminum capsules are then recycled and turned into the durable case, plus the dial, crown, bezel and pushers.

It’s an ingenious turn that shifts an already covetable watch into high gear. As Hublot fittingly says, it’s a hyper-sustainable approach resulting in a watch that travels “from coffee cup to wrist.”

Hublot also calls the watch (limited to just 200 pieces) “an iconic object that symbolizes full-circle design,” and it’s delivered in a distinguished co-branded wooden box.

There are touches that celebrate both iconic Swiss brands in equal measure, from a crown engraved with the Nespresso “N” logo to the color of the timepiece itself.

The vivid green plays off the Master Origins Peru Organic Nespresso capsule color, and anyone in search of a vibrant watch in a one-of-a-kind color would do well to keep an eye out for this timepiece.

Of course, the watch doesn’t skimp on precision in favor of an eye-catching collaboration. The Hublot Big Bang Unico Nespresso boasts the watchmaker’s proprietary chronograph movement and a power reserve of 72 hours.

The “open heart” movement, which features a dial-side column wheel, features 354 components, an exquisite touch of craftsmanship meant to be readily appreciated (not unlike a fine cup of coffee, right?).

Perhaps to be expected, this first-of-its-kind watch is also next-level in terms of price: One of 200 special-edition timepieces retails for about $25,500.

The Hublot Big Bang is already a work of horological mastery, a bold watch with bold pedigree that can serve as a starting point for even further innovation in the world of luxury watches. It’s a high bar to clear, but the new Hublot MP-13 Tourbillon Bi-axis Retrograde is among the boldest Big Bangs in recent memory.

Announced as part of the stunning luxury watch trade show Watches and Wonders, there’s plenty to love about this timepiece, starting with the fact that it boasts a brand-new, 100 percent Hublot manufacture complication.

The double-axis tourbillon movement is impressive in its own right, displayed in both proud and intricate fashion as part of the dual retrograde display dial.

Hublot rightfully calls the watch one that’s “aimed at collectors eager to discover the watchmaking of tomorrow,” as well as a timepiece that “writes a new chapter in the MP story.”

The 44mm brushed titanium case is complemented by a sporty ridged black rubber strap for a distinctive touch, but it’s the dual-display dial that really steals the show (as with most Hublot Big Bang watches).

Hublot also notes that it’s one of the few watchmakers with the ability to devise and manufacture a double-axis tourbillon entirely in-house: The tourbillon completes a full rotation every minute on one axis, while also completing another rotation on the other axis every 30 seconds.

The movement is set by one crown at the 3-o’clock marking, and the display is meant to be read from left to right for what the watchmaker calls an intuitive timekeeping experience.

The haute horologist calls the effect “hypnotic and technical,” and one look at the movement itself drives home that point quite nicely.

For good measure, the tourbillon is both suspended and delivered with a skeletonized view for a further touch of technical watchmaking mastery.

What’s even more impressive is that the energy-consuming bi-axis retrograde movement demands, well, quite a lot of energy, yet the movement boasts a power reserve of 96 hours.

All of this doesn’t come cheaply, or at a large scale: Only 50 numbered editions of the MP-13 Tourbillon are set to hit the market, at the very rarefied price of $158,000.

The latest beaming member of Hublot’s Big Bang family gets its irradiant powers from the application of a seriously exotic substance used in satellites and lasers.

The neon yellow Big Bang automatic tourbillon’s entire 44mm case and bezel are crafted from an alloy dubbed Sapphire Aluminum Oxide and rare Earth Mineral, or SAXEM.

According to Hublot, the material is made from a combination of rare earth elements—like chromium and holmium—and aluminum oxide, the base chemical of sapphire.

The advantage is that it shines brighter and boasts more scratch resistance than sapphire while facilitating crazily irradiant colors like neon yellow. Hublot became the first watchmaker to implement Saxem on a vivid emerald green Big Bang MP-11 in 2019, and few have followed since.

Beneath the Saxem components and sapphire dome is Hublot’s HUB6035 Manufacture Automatic Tourbillon Movement, the intricate workings of which have been providing three-day power reserves to some of Hublot’s most expensive and desirable models since its introduction.

Paired with a color-matched structured lined rubber strap, the one-of-50 Hublot Big Bang Tourbillion Automatic Yellow Neon SAXEM is available to purchase now by appointment for an astronomical $211,000.

The best watches are more than just a reliable keeper of time or a standout style move — they call to mind a sense of awe, wonder and perhaps even stunning scenery. Stunning scenery? That’s the idea behind Hublot’s latest capsule collection, celebrating three iconic destinations across the Mediterranean, with each watch available at its respective boutique.

The visually striking timepieces can be found at Hublot boutiques in Ibiza, St. Tropez and Capri — for a very cool starting price of $18,500 — and call to mind the beautiful waters of each covetable getaway.

Hublot’s most impressive models are updated and on full display in the capsule, including the Hublot Big Bang, done up in rich turquoise blue to celebrate the beaches of Tahiti and Pampellone.

The Big Bang Unico St-Tropez Boutique is the most rare of the trio, with just 30 models available.

Both the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Ceramic Blue Ibiza Boutique and Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Ceramic Capri Boutique boast a still-exclusive, ultra-rare run of 50 handsome, functional, dressy-yet-utilitarian units.

In fact, you can only find the crisp, cool-as-can-be Ibiza edition available at the brand’s summer-only pop-up Port Esportiu Marina boutique, a getaway-worthy locale in its own right — made even better by the opportunity to find one of more rare Hublot watches on the market.

To up the ante even further, Hublot debuted its Ibiza model with an exclusive launch party featuring all the trappings of luxurious summer style.

Consider it a fitting introduction, and a fitting backdrop, for a watch unlike any on the market.
